Publication Ethics
LARE is committed to upholding integrity, objectivity, transparency, and accountability throughout the entire publication process. All parties involved in publication are responsible for maintaining high standards of ethical conduct and academic integrity.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Ensure that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal.
- Ensure that all individuals who have made substantial contributions are appropriately credited as authors according to their contributions, while avoiding gift authorship and ghost authorship.
- Disclose conflicts of interest, sources of funding, relevant ethical approvals or permissions, and the use of instruments, data, or materials belonging to other parties.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data and provide supporting data or information when reasonably requested by the editor.
- Take responsibility for the content of the manuscript and promptly and transparently correct any errors identified after publication.
Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers
- Evaluate manuscripts based on scientific quality, relevance, originality, and ethical compliance without discrimination based on the authors' background.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and refrain from using information obtained during the review process for personal or other unauthorized purposes.
- Disclose or avoid conflicts of interest and withdraw from the review process when a relevant conflict of interest or limitation of expertise exists.
- Provide objective, constructive, and adequately reasoned scholarly evaluations.
LARE takes allegations of publication and research misconduct seriously. Violations such as data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, authorship misconduct, and breaches of research ethics may result in manuscript rejection, correction or retraction of a published article, and notification of the relevant institution when necessary.
